Request Data Deletion
At Mystay, we respect your privacy and give you control over your personal information. If you would like us to delete your data, please follow the steps below.
How to Request Deletion
1. Submit a request:

Send an email to support@mystay.africa with the subject line “Data Deletion Request” or fill in the Data deletion request form below.

Include your full name, email address associated with your Mystay account, and any relevant booking reference(s).

2. Identity verification:
To protect your account, we may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request.
3. Processing timeline:

We will confirm your request within 7 days.

Data deletion is typically completed within 30 days unless legal or operational requirements apply.

Data That Will Be Deleted

Personal details (name, email, phone number, profile information)

Booking history and reservation details

Saved preferences or settings in your account

Payment methods stored in your account
Data That May Be Retained
Some information cannot be deleted immediately due to legal, regulatory, or operational reasons. This may include:

Financial records (invoices, receipts, payment confirmations) – retained for up to 5 years as required by tax laws.

Security and fraud-prevention logs – retained for up to 3 months.

Anonymous or aggregated data – used for analytics but no longer personally identifies you.
After Deletion
- You will no longer be able to access your Mystay account or booking history.
- Any ongoing reservations linked to your deleted account may be cancelled.
- You can always create a new account in the future if you choose to use Mystay again.
